For LA PLAYITA DE LA ISLA SAS, the well-being and safety of all our guests is paramount. In Colombia, all conduct tending to sexual exploitation, pornography, sex tourism and other forms of sexual abuse with minors, that is, with people who have not reached 18 years of age, are classified as crimes in the Penal Code. LA PLAYITA DE LA ISLA SAS does not promote, sponsor, or permit within the hotel facilities any conduct that may fall within the prohibitions established by law. Consequently, its employees and/or officials are obliged to inform the competent authorities of any conduct of which they have direct or indirect knowledge, as provided for in laws 679 of 2001 and 1336 of 2009 and other concordant and complementary regulations:
Therefore, if you are going to travel with minors, you must observe the following provisions:
A. RELATIVES
If the minor's parents are staying at the hotel with him/her:
1. Please note that in order to register at the hotel, the following documents must be presented at check-in: According to Colombian law, the only valid and mandatory documents for registering people with Colombian nationality are: Citizenship Card, Foreigner's Card (Diplomatic Card does not apply), residence permit, and for minors, Identity Card and/or Birth Certificate. For foreigners, the only valid document is a Passport, except for countries involved in the MERCOSUR treaty.
2. If the minor is traveling with only one of his or her parents, he or she must have written authorization from the other parent or permission granted by the competent authority, in compliance with all legal requirements. If the guest checking in with the minor is a relative of the child or his or her legal guardian, a consent form signed before a notary by both parents and a photocopy of the identity document of both must be presented. If only one of the parents is traveling with the minor, a travel consent form signed before a notary by the absent parent must be presented. If you plan to travel with children, contact the Colombian consulate before embarking on the trip for more information.
B. NO RELATIVES
If those staying at the hotel with the minor are NOT first-degree relatives, meaning parent and child, they must take into account the following information for check-in:
1. Identity documents for adults and minors. Please note that the following documents must be presented at check-in to register at the hotel: according to Colombian law, the only valid and mandatory documents for registering persons with Colombian nationality are: Citizenship Card, Foreigner's Card (Diplomatic Card does not apply), residence permit, and for minors, Identity Card and/or Birth Certificate. For foreign persons, the only valid document is a Passport, except for countries involved in the MERCOSUR treaty.
2. You must download the form and fill it out completely, since without it you will not be able to enter the hotel facilities.
3. Written authorization from the parents of the minor or from the competent authority that can grant such permission. This authorization must be issued jointly by the parents. If the parent granting the authorization is abroad, the permission must be presented with the signature and fingerprints of each of the parents.
4. Along with this permit, which must be presented upon entering the hotel in the original with signatures and fingerprints, the minor's birth certificate and a copy of the identification of the person(s) issuing the authorization and of the person they are authorizing to stay with the minor must be attached. If at the time of entering the hotel all the requirements indicated here are not met, the minor will NOT be allowed to enter and the penalties that apply for the date of the trip will be charged, in addition to informing the competent authorities of this situation.
5. Only adults may be authorized to stay with minors.
6. It is mandatory that all documentation has prior review and approval by the commercial agency.
